About arty judy

Hello! I'm Judy Youssef

Thanks for stopping by my blog for more information please visit my website http://www.artyjudy.com .
If you're interested, read on to learn a bit about me and my art.

I was born on the Isle of Wight off the southern coast of England . Thanks to the beautiful surroundings and encouraged by my parents,I learned to appreciate all forms of nature when I was very young, so natural forms and colours (in particular the sea) have always been the main inspiration for my work, whether painting or designing jewellery.

Although I have never had formal art training – except for lessons at school and a short course of silk painting in Bangkok - I've painted and explored many different crafts all my life.

Among other things, I painted on silk which in turn was transformed into magical garments by a talented dress designer. I hand-painted exclusive soft furnishings with an interior designer and during the 18 years that I lived in the Gulf island state of Bahrain , I worked on many murals for both the public and private sector, even getting commissions from the ruling family.

Since coming to Egypt (where I live with my husband on the Red Sea coast) I have had two successful exhibitions of my paintings – one of which was a sellout.

I make frequent trips to London , buying materials for my work and meeting clients – not to mention enjoying seeing my daughter in London where she lives and works and visiting my family on the Isle of Wight .

My other passion is making jewellery, especially enameled pieces and my work has been sold to people from many different countries.

My jewellery design philosophy is simple – all my pieces are what I enjoy wearing myself. I try to create timeless and wearable works of art that will be worn for many years to come, using only the very best materials. All of my jewellery pieces are of my own design and made only by me.

Whether I'm painting pictures or making jewellery, the quality of the finished product is really important to me and nothing leaves my studio until I'm completely satisfied with it.

If you like one of the designs on this website, please contact me for a no obligation quotation. No two pieces are alike and the one you like most may have been sold already but I will do my best to ensure that it is as near as possible to the original design.
Don't forget that when you buy a piece of jewellery from me it is guaranteed exclusive – the only one in the world wearing it will be YOU!

I also am happy to accept painting commissions in watercolours or acrylics and will be only too pleased to discuss any ideas that you may have.

For me the challenge is always in what lies ahead. With many new ideas ready for development I continue to do what I enjoy most – create jewellery and paintings for discerning art-lovers to collect and cherish.
